Teresa is a Madrid (Spain) based freelance comic artist and illustrator.

A Quick Bio

Teresa del Pilar is a self-taught comic artist who quit secondary language teaching when her career as an illustrator took off. She has published short stories with small press anthologies and indie authors both in Europe and the USA and has had two successful crowdfunding campaigns to fund personal publications. Aside from book publishing she has also done work in other industries such as comics for retail newsletters, illustrations for boardgoame and concept art for pitches.

What I Do

Every successful project starts with a call where the client explains their vision and goals.

Coloring and Toning

I use a cell shading technique alongside some subtle painting texture mostly for backgrounds. I also do Black and White manga style toning.

Line Art

After creating some rough thumbnail sketches from the script and getting them approved, I can produce final pencils and inks ready for coloring.

Finished pages.

I can do the entire process: thumbnails, pencils, inks, coloring and lettering. I deliver work for revision at every stage of the process to ensure you are happy with the end result.
